Gilles Lapointe President & Chief Executive Officer Gilles Lapointe obtained his doctorate from the University of Guelph who has been named for the third time in five years No.1 comprehensive university in Canada by Maclean's magazine in 2003. He has training in biochemistry at the M.S. level at Agriculture Canada and University Laval prior to obtaining his Ph.D. in molecular genetics. He then trained in biotechnology at the post doctoral level at the Laurentian Forestry Center part of the Natural Resources Canada and at the INRA, Versailles, France. Dr. Lapointe added an other University level certificate in bioinformatics from the joint effort of the University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, University of Nova Scotia, and the Genetic Disease Network (Canada). Dr. Lapointe worked as a scientific project manager of a molecular farming biotechnology start up company at the beginning of his carreer. He then joined an other start up company involved in drug target discovery for the treatment of obesity. He drove key reorganization and growth initiatives of this biotechnology company while being its scientific director. He liaised with corporated investors and managed scientific research. Furthermore, he has a proven ability to coordinate and bring to fruition the accurate identification of potential drug targets. Contact Gilles: Gilles.Lapointe@geneob.com Louis Pérusse Chief Scientific Officer Louis Pérusse concentrated his carreer in the field of genetics of obesity and adaptation to exercise training. He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physical activity sciences from the University Laval, Canada. He continued his studies at the post doctoral level at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor concentrating on human genetics. His carreer brought him back to University Laval in 1990 where he moved from associate professor to assistant professor at the Department of Preventive Medicine specializing his research in genetic epidemiology of obesity and obesity-related diseases. Louis Pérusse is a 25-year veteran of obesity research with over 400 scientific publications to date. Dr. Pérusse is an expert in the current statistical methods of drug target discovery and preliminary validation. He served on the board of directors of a University spin off company involved in drug target selection and worked as the project manager. | Alexander J. Luckevich | Mr. Luckevich is a retired CFO of Garrett Corporation
(became Allied Signal and now is Honeywell), based in Los Angeles. When he retired, the
company managed over 20,000 employees in the United States, Japan, Germany, etc. He is a
business advisor who also helped rebuild and reshape companies in Poland for several years. |

| Elspeth J. Murray | E. Murray is an assistant professor at the highly reputable School of Business,
Queen's University. She has received numerous academic awards and homours, and has published
several articles on various subjects such as strategic management. Elspeth Murray is an
authority on linking information technology strategy and business strategy. She began her
career as a consultant with Canada Systems Group (now ISM), and then worked as a systems
engineer with IBM Canada. At Western, she undertook ground-breaking research on the uses of
information technology for competitive advantage in a large sample of international firms.
She has taught Management Information Systems at the Western Business School, and has taught
on the Western Director's Program. She is also a regular contributor to executive development
programs at the University of Western Australia's Graduate School of Management. She has
developed a program, ""Technology as an Enabler of Change,"" which bridges the fields of
technology, operations, and strategy. Clients: She is an active consultant and researcher
in strategic management and information technology for a number of private- and public-sector
organizations, including Alcoa, Ryder Logistics, Royal Insurance, and the Ontario Ministry of
Labour.

| Regi Joseph | Regi Joseph is a business consultant specialized in assessing new technology
opportunities. He has worked in several start-up companies to establish strategic alliances
and to assist in securing seed capital and subsequent rounds of financing. He is a business area
manager at Invitrogen Corporation. Mr. Joseph holds an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan,
Canada. |

| Maria Luckevich | Maria Luckevich is a business consultant specializing in new ventures in
biotechnology. She has both an MBA for Science and Technology, from Queen's University,
as well as a Master of Science degree from Guelph University. She started her career by
working in scientific research for several years, with applications of both protein
biochemistry and molecular genetics. She participated in the establishment of the first
transgenic spruce trees resistant to spruce budworm. After the accomplishment of her MBA she
worked as a consultant for the investment banking industry. More recently she worked at
Invitrogen, a large U.S. biotechnology tools provider. At Invitrogen she provided strategic
business analysis for corporate development initiatives, and was instrumental in the
integration of its Bioreliance acquisition in early 2004. She is now a Life Science Equity Analyst
at Fraser Mackenzie Limited A Boutique Institutional Dealer.

| Jean Pierre Després, Ph.D. | Professor, Laval University, Québec, Canada; Director of Research, Cardiology Québec Heart Institute.
Dr. Després’ expertise covers the assessment and management of obesity and body fat distribution, lipid metabolism, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, exercise, nutrition and the prevention and the treatment of CHD risk factors.
